Since April 20, 2016, the Directive of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe 2014/34/EU (ATEX) “Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres” has been in force in the European Union, which determines the procedure for the use in production and the admission to the market of equipment, used in hazardous areas.
Since installations IM are also used in the areas containing explosive dust atmospheres, they are subject to Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and therefore must be tested for compliance with all the requirements of this European Union legislative act.
The specialists of RPE “MITEK” LLC developed and manufactured samples of explosion-proof installations and, with the assistance of the Certification Center of “CERTIS-CENTER” LLC , carried out work to assess the conformity of products with the requirements of Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and relevant standards, including the accomplished tests in the accredited testing laboratory.
Based on the results of implemented activities, it has been established that the explosion-proof magnetic-impulse installations IM comply with the standards of Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) and can be admitted to the EU market for use in the areas, hazardous to ignition of combustible dust in accordance with the assigned explosion protection marking.
